Unfortunately, a current reality in Northern Michigan is high gas prices.  Gone are the days when gas cost a quarter or a dime-now one is happy when it dips below four dollars a gallon or more.  However, necessity is the mother of invention and the high gas prices means that people are turning to alternative forms of transportation, like motorized scooters which are typically run on gas.  These smaller methods of transportation may not travel as quickly as cars, but they combine the open air freedom of motorcycles with good mileage and with more companies producing them that means more options for the buyer interested in something other than a gas guzzling car.  T&R Yamaha scooters are varied and they’re so affordable, one can ride them home again.  Scooters are very useful in huge urban centers; they are easier to maneuver in busy city streets and move people faster than walking or bicycles.  Yamaha motor scooters can be found at the top of lists of scooters and mopeds to buy.  They are very reasonably priced; Yamaha motor scooters cost between nineteen and half hundred dollars and fifty nine hundred dollars.  T&R Yamaha carries a wide range of scooters for any buyer and budget.  Combined with their fuel efficiency, scooters can save their drivers a lot of money.  The 2008 Yamaha Majesty gas scooter for example gets approximately 51 mpg and carries 3.7 gallons of gas while the Zuma gets approximately 123 mpg and carries 1.5 gallons of gas; perfect for doing errands around town.  There may not be the same variety of Yamaha motor scooters for sale as with motorcycles, snowmobiles or other more ‘traditional’ modes of transportation, but as they grow in popularity, there will be more produced.  Motor scooters are also starting to look very similar to motorcycles with sleek designs and comfortable seats; and just as many accessories to buy, if one is into that sort of thing.  Gas scooters are also easier to obtain than automobiles; not only are they cheaper, but there is far less licensing involved, less equipment needed, and they can be bought for children.  Although scooters do not yet enjoy the popularity of cars or motorcycles, as gas prices continue to climb and Yamaha and T&R Yamaha broadens their scope, no doubt scooters will be seen more and more in Northern Michigan.
